it’s sunday and time for the Project 52 on the Bloom Forum! if you’re just joining me then you may not know about my project 52. in a nutshell, i’m partnered up with 14 other fabulous photographers for a great year long project. we post each week on sunday with a new theme. this week’s theme is “flowers”.
i love photographing flowers but i just don’t do it very often…so i was super excited for this week’s theme! this is a beautiful day lily that is growing down the road from my house. it’s of the “giant” variety and i love it’s peachy color. we have some of these that are supposed to grow next to our driveway…but the deer eat them like candy and we’ve never actually seen them bloom. looking at this flower makes me even more annoyed at those stinkin deer!

What a beautiful lily! I love the color.
It’s gorgeous Amanda! Drat those deer – these would be such a treat to watch bloom!
Stunning!!
Gorgeous color on this one. Just beautiful.
Love the detail and texture of this, but I can’t help thinking it must be kind of cool to get deer visiting your garden.
